Service Description

The St. Croix is a designated Canadian heritage river located in Eastern Maine along the border of Maine and Canada. This river is dam controlled so it offers water all summer long. Class I-II rapids frequent along the way offering an opportunity for learning basic whitewater canoeing techniques. This is a 4-5-day trip that offers breathtaking scenery along its 33 mile section from Vanceboro to Kelly Landing. Maintained campsites along the way make this trip a great opportunity for learning wilderness skills. 


Cancellation Policy

A cancelation 30 days (1 month ) prior to a trip date will be refunded 100% - minus credit card handling fees. If a cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the date of the booked trip, someone no shows, or an incomplete trip - all finances are non-refundable and/or non-transferable. If for any reason participants are not satisfied you are free to leave, but you shall not receive a return of fees for the trip or experience. This policy reflect the fact that our trips are limited to small groups, we do not overbook, and a cancelled space is very difficult to fill last minute, and significant cost is incurred in the planning and preparing for our trips. In the event of an emergency or catastrophe beyond the control of your guide that would require ending a trip early, Maine Guide Company may offer to reschedule your trip at a reduced rate, at our discretion. If for any reason a trip be cancel, the client will have a choice of 100% refund or roll over fees to an alternate trip date. This will be issued as a trip credit redeemable for up to one year after the original missed trip date. .
